Get answers to common questions and learn how to use FindALiftClub effectively and safely.
- Find Lift Offers: Use the Find Lift Offers page, set your route, time, and preferences, then contact drivers directly.
- Share a Lift: Go to Share a Lift and complete the multi-step form with your schedule and available seats.
- Request Lifts: Go to Request Lifts and share your route, timetable, seats needed, and budget so drivers can contact you.
- Manage a Post: Use your secure link sent via email to edit, deactivate (hide), or delete your offer/request anytime.
Find Lift Offers
- Enter From/To areas or suburbs, choose trip type (daily, one-time, night shift, cross-province).
- Set seats needed, budget, and preferred driver gender.
- Pick days and times (or different times per day for recurring trips).
- Browse results and contact drivers via call, WhatsApp, or email.
Share Lifts
- Post your route, schedule, seats, price per seat, and your contact preferences.
- Submit to receive a confirmation email with a secure management link.
- Use your link to update details, deactivate temporarily, or delete when done.
Request Lifts
- Share where you’re going, when you need to travel, seats needed, and your budget.
- Drivers will contact you based on your preferred contact method.
- Use your secure email link to edit, deactivate, or delete your request.
View Lift Requests
- Drivers can browse passenger requests and filter by route, timing, and seats needed.
- Contact passengers directly to coordinate a lift.
Safety Reports & Community Facebook Group
- Join our public Facebook group to view safety reports, post awareness about unsafe individuals, and stay informed about community concerns.
- Post factually with evidence (screenshots/photos/receipts). Admins review posts for compliance.
- Use this feature responsibly and truthfully. In emergencies, contact local authorities.
- After posting, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a secure link.
- Use that link to edit details (route, times, seats, budget, contact info).
- Use deactivate to hide your post temporarily without deleting it.
- Use delete to remove your post permanently.
- For driver offers, the link opens a token page like
/manage-offer/[token].
Is FindALiftClub free?
Yes. Creating and searching for lift offers/requests is free.
How do payments work?
Payments are arranged directly between drivers and passengers, unless specified otherwise.
How do I report a safety concern?
Visit our Facebook group to post a report with clear evidence (screenshots/photos/receipts). Search the group before traveling to check for existing reports about individuals. In emergencies, contact local authorities immediately.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Email us at communications@mail.findaliftclub.co.zato request deletion or exercise your POPIA rights. See our Privacy Policy.
How long do posts stay active?
Offers and requests automatically expire and are deleted 60 days after creation, or when you delete them yourself.
I lost my management link. What can I do?
If you can’t find your email, you can create a new offer/request.
- Not receiving emails: Check spam/promotions, then whitelist our domain, or try resubmitting your post.
- Link not working: Ensure you pasted the full link. Management tokens stay valid until deletion.
- Can’t edit a detail: Delete the post and create a new one with updated info.
Before you ride, search our Facebook group for existing reports about individuals. Post factually with evidence; admins review posts and may remove non-compliant content. Help keep the community safe by sharing your experiences.
